My wife and I stayed at Sanak Retreat for seven days last week, and I can honestly say the experience was absolutely excellent. We travel frequently and stay in many hotels, including five-star properties, and we are often disappointed by issues such as service standards, cleanliness, or basic things not working properly (like air conditioning). At Sanak Retreat, however, everything was 100% perfect. The attention to detail here is exceptional. From the moment we arrived there was a lovely car park and staff immediately helped carry our bags to the room. Check-in was relaxed and easy, done at the restaurant without having to queue at reception. My wife immediately commented that the room was absolutely spotless. Everything was exactly as it should be — soap, tissues, air conditioning, and all amenities working perfectly. Nothing was missing and nothing malfunctioned. Everything was presented meticulously. Over the entire seven-day stay, the quality of service never faltered once. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The chef clearly has that special je ne sais quoi that elevates the dishes and makes them feel truly special. While the food prices are moderately higher than eating outside, the quality difference is significant. We tried eating outside the retreat once or twice and were very disappointed by comparison, so we happily ate most of our meals at the retreat. Our room was not particularly large, but it was more than adequate. The internet was excellent, the king-size bed was comfortable, and the bed linen was perfectly clean. We had a single villa overlooking the rice terraces, and it was simply beautiful — quiet, peaceful, and filled with the natural sounds of the surrounding landscape. The swimming pool was another highlight. It was spotlessly clean and a pleasure to swim in. Although it is not heated, by the afternoon the sun warms it enough to make it very comfortable. As someone who swims regularly, I can say it is a great pool for exercise and extremely well maintained. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Sanak Retreat. It is a beautiful, peaceful place with outstanding service and attention to detail. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it.

It’s a very nice place in the middle of nowhere. The food choices could be more local. Small and big bungalow are very well maintained and super cozy. A good place to relax and just go with the flow.
